Hi, I’m Marni.

I'm a mom of three, a former camp director, and a very enthusiastic home baker. Basically, if I'm not behind a camera, I'm either wrangling my own kids or covered in flour.

The camp director years are honestly where my whole approach to photography comes from: when your job is keeping a hundred kids having a genuinely good time, you get really good at reading a room, making people laugh, and rolling with whatever chaos shows up. That's exactly what I bring to a session, no stiff posing, no forced smiles, just real moments with real families.

Before family photography, I actually started with food. My blog, Simple Gray T-Shirt, is a place for recipes as simple as your favorite gray t-shirt, nothing fancy, just really good food perfect for busy families. I still shoot food and product photography for brands, but somewhere along the way I realized I missed talking to people (food doesn't say much back), and that's how the portrait photography side of my business was born and quickly became my favorite part!

Not sure exactly what you need? Totally fine, most people don’t. I'm happy to help you figure it out on a quick discovery call.
